Eaton's innovative 5P line-interactive UPS features an enhanced LCD and energy metering. The 5P is the ideal UPS for protecting IT and networking components in a tower or rack configuration, such as servers, switches, routers, and storage devices. On a single screen, the new graphical LCD display delivers concise information on the UPS's status and measurements (in seven languages). Additionally, enhanced configuration capabilities are offered via intuitive navigation keys.
The 5P can monitor energy consumption via the LCD and Eaton's power management software, displaying kWh data. During outages, load segment control permits prioritised shutdowns of non-essential equipment to maximise battery runtime for vital devices. In addition, load segment control can be used to remotely reboot network equipment that has been turned off, as well as to set up scheduled shutdowns and start-ups.
The 5P includes serial and USB connectivity, as well as an additional slot for an optional communication card (SNMP/Web or relay contact). Each UPS includes Eaton's Intelligent Power Technologies Suite, which is compatible with all major operating systems and virtualisation software like VMware and Hyper-V.tches, routers and storage devices, in tower or rack format.
